ABOUT FIREPIT
It’s never easy breaking the mold. Truth is, nothing worthwhile happens, unless you put your heart and soul into it.

We are a contemporary art gallery, one that runs an exciting and relevant calendar of exhibitions. On average we have 18 new exhibitions each year, utilising two areas within our space.

We are a grassroots social enterprise organisation. We have and are continually creating a programme of classes, workshops and events, to help support the marginalized and under represented parts of our community.

We run a busy event schedule throughout the year. From kids art classes, Adult art classes, Meditation, Spoken Word, Book Readings, Artist Talks, Supper Clubs, Sip and paint, Wine tasting to Event hire and Corporate event planning. On average we run 20 events per month.

We have artists studio spaces (currently full). We take on short term residencies as part of a Artist Residency program we run.
Our space includes a main gallery, a large table that you can fit 22 people on, used for workshops and supper clubs. A sunken room, surrounded by wooden panels, used for pop up exhibitions and as an event space. We have a gallery gift shop, a book shop - run by resident creatives; Sold Out Publishing. We have an event bar that is regularly open for the many events we run.
Running a large space in London requires the organisation to wear many hats. Sometimes this can feel messy and confusing. As Firepit grows and develops, the path becomes clear for both the people running the space and for the people we are serving. Firepit belongs to everyone, it is a movement, with the capability of bringing about social change.
