Teal and verdigris green — deep, cool and atmospheric — saturate this small panel almost entirely, with only the faintest traces of warm tone visible beneath the surface. The lower register darkens toward an almost marine depth, where marks suggest rocks, water, the edge of something. It is the colour of the sky at dusk in late summer — that particular greenish-blue that exists for perhaps twenty minutes before the dark comes. Quietly beautiful.
